Underline
Underline marks text with a line under it. When you save, it becomes a real PDF annotation you can toggle, delete, or flatten later.
How to do it
- Choose Underline, from the toolbar or the Annotate tools.
- Drag across the text you want to mark.
- Pick a color if you want something other than the default black.
- To remove one, double-click an underline you've added.
Or skip the tool: with the Select tool, select text, then right-click and choose Underline. Right-click an underline to Remove it.
What to know
- Underlines are held until you Save, then saved as PDF annotations.
- Print markup controls printing. Leave Print markup on to include saved underlines when printing, or turn it off before saving new underlines.
- Flatten markup makes it permanent. Use Flatten markup when you want underlines baked into the page.
- Prepare for Filing asks first. If saved RaioPDF markup is present, filing offers to flatten it or keep it live before continuing.
- It needs real text to grab onto. On a scanned page, run Make Searchable first so there's text to underline.
- Reorganizing pages clears unsaved underlines. If you rotate, delete, or reorder pages before saving, underlines you haven't saved are cleared — save first.
