Shapes

Shapes let you mark a page with rectangles, ellipses, straight lines, and arrows. When you save, the shapes become real PDF annotations.

How to do it

1. Choose Rectangle, Ellipse, Line, or Arrow from the toolbar or the Annotate tools.
2. Pick a stroke color, stroke width, and fill color if the shape supports one.
3. Drag on the page to size and place the shape.

What to know

• It's held until you Save, then saved as a PDF annotation.
• Print markup controls printing. Leave Print markup on to include saved shapes when printing, or turn it off before saving new shapes.
• Flatten markup makes it permanent. Use Flatten markup when you want shapes baked into the page.
• Prepare for Filing asks first. If saved RaioPDF markup is present, filing offers to flatten it or keep it live before continuing.
• Fill is optional. Rectangle and ellipse can stay stroke-only.
• Reorganizing pages clears unsaved shapes. Rotate, delete, or reorder pages before saving and they're cleared — save first.
