Comment

Leave notes on a document by dropping a pin on the page and typing your note. When you save, the notes become real PDF annotations — the kind a reviewer sees in any PDF program — not marks baked into the page.

How to do it

  1. Choose Comment, from the toolbar or the Comment group in the Tools panel.
  2. Click the spot on the page where you want the note. A little box opens.
  3. Type your note and click Save Note (or press Enter; use Shift+Enter for a new line, Esc to cancel).
  4. To change or remove a note later, click its pin.

What to know

  • Comments are real annotations. They stay as notes attached to the document, which anyone can open, reply to, or clear in their own PDF program — they aren't flattened into the page.
  • They're pending until you save. A note you've dropped is held in the app and written into the document when you Save.
  • Reorganizing pages clears unsaved notes. If you rotate, delete, or reorder pages while you have unsaved comments, those pending notes are cleared — so save your comments first.
